This upcoming month, Pretty Yende returns to the operatic stage after some of the safety measures regarding COVID-19 have been removed. She will star as Adina in two productions of Donizetti’s L’Elisir d’Amore: at the Wiener Staatsoper on September 14, 17 and 21 and the Bayerische Staatsoper on September 29, October 1 and 4.
She will make her house debut in Vienna, and will return later in the season as Violetta in La Traviata. Joining her in L’Elisir d’Amore are Liparit Avetisyan as Nemorino, Sergey Kaydalov as Belcore and Nicola Alaimo as Dulcamara.
In her return to Munich, she will once again star in the Patrick Bannwart production, sharing the stage with Galeano Salas as Nemorino, Andrei Zhilikhovsky as Belcore and Milan Siljanov as Dulcamara.
