‘La Fille du Régiment’ at the Teatro de la Maestranza

The last performances of the year for Pretty Yende take her to Seville’s Teatro de la Maestranza, where she’ll star as Marie in Donizetti’s La Fille du Régiment. The popular Laurent Pelly production makes this opera an audience favourite all around the world. Lookout world, Pretty Yende is coming for you. This is according to the November Issue of the USA’s Glamour Magazine. Pretty, an opera singer born in South Africa, shared a snap of herself in the latest issue of Glamour as part of an article titled, “Girls Who Will Run the World”. “When @glamourmag acknowledges you as a global role model,” she captioned her Twiter post. Polish debut

Pretty Yende travels to Poland for the first time on October 27 to sing in Poznań’s Adam Mickiewicz University Auditorium. Łukasz Borowicz conducts the Poznań Philharmonic Orchestra in a program featuring arias from operas by Donizetti, Bellini, Rossini, Verdi and Massenet.
