Now available: DVD of the Midsummer Nights Gala Grafenegg

The spectacular opening (Salzburger Nachrichten) of the Grafenegg Festival 2018 presented at the Midsummer Night’s Gala featured opera arias and orchestral pieces by Verdi, Puccini, Rossini, Bellini and others. Ms. Yende was joined by Maltese tenor Joseph Calleja, Dutch cellist Harriet Krijgh, the Tonkünstler Orchestra and conductor Yutaka Sado.

A DVD of the Gala has been released as a co-production of the ORF and UNITEL CLASSICA in cooperation with the Grafenegg Festival (EuroArts Music International). A feast for the ears (Kurier), this production is presented with subtitles in Italian, English, German, French, Japanese, and Korean.

La Sonnambula performances this May

This upcoming month of May, Pretty Yende stars as Amina in Bellini’s La Sonnambula at the Zürich Opernhaus on May 5, 9 and 12, Kyle Ketelsen sings Rodolfo, alongside Sen Guo as Lisa and Liliana Nikiteanu as Teresa. Lawrence Brownlee joins her as Elvino.

Pretty Yende spends her summer in Munich, where she’ll star in Lucia di Lammermoor on June 9, 12 and 15 and L’Elisir d’Amore on July 28 and 30, at the Bayerische Staatsoper. Quinn Kelsey joins her as Enrico and Javier Camarena as Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor, with Antonino Fogliani on the podium, and Pavol Breslik sings Nemorino opposite her Adina in L’Elisir d’Amore, with Mariusz Kwiecień as Belcore and Ambrogio Maestri {…}
