This December, Pretty Yende joins the Philadelphia Orchestra for performances of Mahler’s beloved Fourth Symphony in Philadelphia and New York City under the baton of the orchestra’s music director, Yannick Nézet-Séguin. On December 8, 9 and 10, Ms. Yende will sing the work in Philadelphia at Verizon Hall. On July 22, 24, 27 and 29, Pretty Yende will reprise her signature role of Violetta Valéry in Giuseppe Verdi’s La Traviata at Teatro di San Carlo. This marks her last operatic engagement in the 2021-2022 season which brought her masterful portrayal of Violetta to the Royal Opera House, Wiener Staatsoper and Staatsoper Hamburg.
